Every listing carries a Sponsored label and a “Why am I seeing this?” line that reads:

BRO’s AI never sees the listings. It cannot recommend, rank or mention a business because it paid, and the links and sources inside an answer are never sold.

- Payday, title or no-credit-check lending.
- Firearms sales to minors, and anything illegal or deceptive.
Questions
- Will BRO’s AI recommend my business?
- No, and that is the point. The Ask BRO answer is written without any knowledge of who has paid. Your listing appears BELOW the answer, labelled Sponsored, never inside it. Readers can trust the answer, which is why they read the card.
- When does my listing show?
- When a reader asks a question that is about your kind of business and wants to find, hire or visit one (“best barber near me”, “roofer in Tulsa”), and they are inside the area you paid for. Also in the “Local businesses” strip on matching section pages, like gyms on Body or outfitters on Hunting.
- When does it NOT show?
- Never in BRO Teens or to a reader under 18, never on faith, crisis or medical-emergency questions, never in BRO Counsel, never to BRO+ members (they pay for no ads), and never under a question that is not asking to find a business.
- How many listings appear at once?
- At most two under an answer and three in a section strip. When several match equally well they take turns, so every listing gets a fair share.
- Who checks listings?
- Every listing is screened automatically and then approved by a person before it first goes live. Edits are screened again. Readers can report a listing, and we act on reports.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from your dashboard. The listing keeps showing until the end of the month you paid for, then stops. No contract.
- What do I see?
- Impressions and clicks for each listing, counted by us on our own servers. No tracking pixels and nothing about our readers is shared with you.
