What you can do
Post, reply, repost and quote
Up to 500 characters and four photos. Threads you can follow from the first post to the last reply.
Follow people
A Following timeline of the people you chose, a For You timeline of what is picking up, and Latest for everything.
Hashtags and trending
Tag a topic with #. Trending counts people, not posts, so one account cannot game it.
Mentions and notifications
@mention a member and they hear about it. Likes, reposts, replies, quotes and follows all show up in one place.
Verified means something
The check mark is an ID-checked adult. It is not for sale and it is not a popularity badge.
You control your view
Mute anyone, block anyone, report anything. Blocking ends follows both ways and hides you from each other.
The rules
- 01Say what you thinkPolitics, faith, news, family, work, sport. Strong opinions and blunt disagreement are welcome here, from a conservative viewpoint or any other. We do not remove a post because someone disagrees with it.
- 02Keep it cleanNothing sexual, suggestive or crude, and no swearing. Write like your mother, your pastor and your kids might read it.
- 03Argue with ideas, not peopleNo threats, no wishing harm on anyone, no dehumanising people for who they are, and no targeted harassment of a member or a private person.
- 04No doxxingNever post anyone’s address, phone number, workplace, school or family details, and never ask people to go find them. Your own contact details stay off the Square too.
- 05Nothing illegal, no spamNo promoting or instructing illegal acts, no scams, no selling, no fundraising pitches, and no links for now (name the source in words).
- 06Adults only, and checkedThe Square is for members 18 and over. Every post, reply, image and bio is checked before it appears; anything the check cannot clear waits for a person. Asking members for contact details or predatory talk suspends the account at once.
BRO uses AI to vet members and to monitor every member-to-member message for scams, predatory behaviour and requests for personal details. Anyone who does this is blocked immediately, and flagged messages are reviewed by our staff.
