How it works, step by step
- Join free and verify your IDA person checks your ID once. It is how we know every member is who they say, and an adult. Men need nothing more; women add the Singles Pass (or BRO+) to see full profiles and write.
- Write your profileYour first name and the first letter of your last name, your town, your age, what you are looking for, and a few questions answered in your own words. Add one to 6 photos; we check each one before anyone sees it.
- Meet people at your own paceWomen choose who to write to, and men reply. Every message is read by our safety check before it arrives.
- Take it further only when you are both readyAfter a few messages each, you can both agree to swap a phone number or email. Nothing is shared until you both say yes.

Staying safe
Most people here are exactly who they seem. A few are not, and romance scammers go looking for kind, trusting people who live on their own. These are the rules that keep you safe, on BRO and everywhere else.
- Keep your conversations on BRO until you have met, where our safety check can see them.
- Meet in a busy public place, tell a family member or friend where you are going, and make your own way there and back.
- You can Report, Block or quietly Hide anyone, on every profile and conversation. A person reads every report.
- You can take a break from Singles at any time, or delete your profile and photos completely.
