Affiliate program terms

Who can join, what you earn, how to disclose, and how you get paid.

Version 2026-10-11.

Who can join

  • You must be 18 or older, have a BRO account in good standing, and be approved by a person at BRO.
  • BRO staff cannot be affiliates. One affiliate account per person.
  • We can decline or end any affiliate account, and we will say why where we can.

How a referral is counted

  • Your link (bro.com/r/your-code, or any bro.com address with ?ref=your-code) puts a small first-party cookie

in the visitor's browser for 400 days (the longest browsers allow). If they click a different affiliate's link later, the latest click counts.

  • The referral is recorded when they create a new BRO account, and from then on it is **tied to that account

for life**: it no longer depends on any cookie. Existing members cannot be referred, and an account is only ever credited to one affiliate. Commissions are paid for the periods listed below, not forever.

  • You can never earn from your own memberships or purchases. Referring yourself does not count: a sign-up or

payment that shares your account, email address (including aliases such as name+tag@ or dotted Gmail addresses), phone number, device, network or payment card is rejected or reversed, and so is any use of your own code on your own purchase. Repeated attempts end the affiliate account.

What you earn

  • 20% of what BRO receives for Bro Plus and Bro Pro (after the payment processor's fee),

on the first payment and every renewal for 12 months after the referred member first pays.

  • 20% of what BRO receives for the first year of a @bro.com email address (renewals earn nothing).
  • 15% of what BRO receives for Big Bro plans for 6 months, once they are on sale.
  • 0% on Bro AI credit top-ups and cosmetic items.
  • Every commission is capped so BRO still covers twice the worst-case cost of what was sold, after a refund

reserve, so a few purchases may earn less. One level only: no commission on the people your referrals refer.

  • No commission on free accounts, on products not listed here, on taxes, or on any payment that is refunded or

disputed.

Earnings: no promises

Any figure on bro.com/earn is an estimate from simple arithmetic, not a promise or a typical result. We do not yet have enough history to say what a typical affiliate earns. Most people in affiliate programs earn little or nothing. Do not tell anyone they will make money by joining BRO, and do not make income claims of your own.

Refunds, chargebacks and the hold

  • Each commission waits 45 days before it is approved, so refunds and chargebacks can come in.
  • A refund takes back the same share of the commission; a chargeback takes back all of it. If it was already

paid, the amount comes off your next payout.

Payouts

  • Approved commissions are paid monthly, on the 15th, once your approved balance reaches

$50.00 (smaller balances roll over). Every payout is approved by a person. Payouts are in US dollars, to affiliates in the US and Canada for now.

  • Before your first payout we need your tax form: a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E (outside the US),

collected through our payment processor's secure onboarding or by a form we send you. No form, no payout (the balance waits). US affiliates paid over the IRS reporting threshold in a calendar year receive a 1099-NEC. We never ask for a tax number on this website. You are responsible for your own taxes.

How you may promote BRO

  • Always disclose. Wherever you share your link, say clearly that you earn from it, for example:

"I earn a commission if you join or buy through my link." Put it next to the link, not hidden behind "more". See How to disclose. This is the law in the US (FTC Endorsement Guides) and in many other countries.

  • No spam: no unsolicited email, texts or direct messages, no comment or forum spam, no fake reviews.
  • No paid search ads on "BRO", "bro.com" or misspellings of them, and no ads that look like they come from BRO.
  • No incentives: do not offer cash, gifts or rebates for signing up.
  • No cookie tricks: no hidden frames, pop-unders, auto-redirects or anything that sets the cookie without a

real click. These are detected and the commissions are reversed.

  • Never target anyone under 18. BRO's paid plans are for adults only.
  • Do not claim to be BRO, speak for BRO, or make promises about what BRO does that are not on bro.com.

Your information (privacy)

For the program we keep: your BRO account, your application answers, the year you were born (not the full date), your payout email, legal name and country, and whether we have your tax form. For fraud checks we keep salted one-way hashes of IP addresses and browsers, never the addresses themselves, and the payment card "fingerprint" our payment processor gives us, never a card number. Referred members are shown to you only as counts and amounts, never by name or email. We keep payout records as long as tax law requires. Ask vip@bro.com for a copy or to close your affiliate account.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms or the rates with notice on this page; commissions already earned keep the rate in force when they were earned. We can pause the program at any time; anything already approved is still paid. Either side can end the arrangement at any time.
