Big Bro privacy
What Big Bro stores, who can see it, and how to delete it all.
Draft for review. Last updated October 9, 2026. Questions: use the contact page.
The short version
Your chats and memory are stored encrypted, and no staff screen shows them. Messages go securely to our AI and voice providers only to answer you. Delete it all anytime.
What we keep
- Guests: the conversation stays in your browser (IndexedDB or local storage) until you clear it. The server keeps
counters for free samples (hashed device and network keys), never your messages.
- Members: key facts you ask Big Bro to remember (for example your name, goals, people by first name, reminders) are
stored encrypted with your account. Recent chat lines are kept for a limited time so Big Bro can follow the conversation, then summarised or deleted.
- Payments: Stripe handles cards. We keep the plan, credit balance and payment references, never card numbers.
- Camera (optional, adults): frames are processed in memory to answer you and are never stored.
- Voice: your speech is turned into text by your browser's speech service; Big Bro's voice is generated by our
voice provider from the reply text.
Who can see it
No admin or staff screen shows conversation or memory content; the admin view shows numbers only (costs, counts). Safety checks run during the request and store only content-free flags. If you report a conversation, the part you choose to share is shown to a moderator, with your consent.
Providers
Messages are sent securely to our AI provider and voice provider only to produce the reply, under their business terms (no training on your data by default). We do not sell your data and do not use it for ads.
Deleting
- In the app: Remembers you > Clear everything, or per item on the memory page.
- Deleting your account removes your memory, chat lines, summaries and settings right away. Backups roll off within 30 days.
Children
Under-13s may not use Big Bro. Teens get stricter limits and no camera.
